Added by C. Borja:  Yesterday the Library of Congress had some interesting rulings regarding the DMCA including one making it OK to break DVD Digital Right Management software on DVDs owned by educational institutions to extract video to be used for educational purposes.  There is a lot more so here are some links to a couple of articles that may be helpful and maybe we can discuss this on our next meeting.
