Principia-purchased resources
For the School, Principia has purchased several volumes of music and sounds from Soundzabound.com
At the College, Principia has purchased two different sound libraries and made them available for your use. All of the sound files are 60-seconds or less, but could be easily edited with Audacity (software on your tablet) to loop or stretch the music, if needed. To use the sound file, right-click it and copy the file to a location convenient for you. The sound files are stored in two different places on the Principia network:
Big Fish Sound Files - (On the Prin Network: \\es-filer-01\MediaMall\Audio Sharing)
What is Big Fish Audio's License Agreement?
You can use our loops to create, produce and release your own productions without paying Big Fish Audio any royalties. Our products are "license free" because you buy the license to use our products when you buy that specific product. The only thing you are not able to make with our products is a sample library like the ones we sell. You can't resell, loan, or rent any of the Big Fish products you have purchased.
Imagio Sound Files (On the Prin Network: \\ed-000604\TMCdrive (E)\Imagio_HD)
Although there is no user interface, the sound files are logically named. The following is an explanation from the Imagio documentation:
Filename explanation for Imagio Sound Files:
Example file name M_TimeRunningOut_128Bm_15A.wav
M = tells you it’s music
Title = TimeRunningOut
#s = tempo in beats per minute (128)
Key = musical key (Bm)
Time = track timing(60; 30; 10, etc...)
Mix Version = (A is the full mix; B is the alternate mix, L1-L2-L3 are Layer mixes, PE is production element)
(In the different folders you will also find files that start with an "F_" “C_” or an "S_" . These are FX, Complex FX and Sweeper/Stager audio files.)
On the St. Louis campus, Dwight Oyer, Ross Safronoff and Dana LePoidevin are familiar with these sound libraries and can answer questions, if needed.
